Exploration Day 2
So yesterday me and the boys ventured out to find this track that everyone kept talking about. We ended up walking at least two to three blocks in the wrong direction at first but found some very cool kids playgrounds. Once we figured to try the other direction we found the pond and that their metroparks which is called "DO Dream" all have workout equipment for the public to use. Ellipticals, arm weights, leg swings, and a few other things. The boys got a chance to try it all since they are really big on the whole exercise now lol. And when Will got off of work I was able to show him a thing or two lol. They had a sand box and tennis court with the kids all out side playing. Their were even older people outside walking their wheelchairs around the track. I met a Korean lady who has a daughter the same age as Mikey, who lives a few buildings away. Yayyyyy my first Korean friend lol...Today HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKEY!!!!!! We set out to find McDonald's lol which was a no go and come to find out if we would have walked in the other direction behind Lotte Mart it was right there. Damnit!!!!! But got a chance to see Lotte Mart and when I say Koreans are all about the kids I mean they are all about the kids. The entire top floor of Lotte Mart which may be a down graded size of Walmart is a kids amusement park. It's like kid heaven up there and when you step off the elevator on the second floor smack dab in the middle is TOY RUS!!!! Might not have to order to many things after all. lol... I found some the coolest portable stove and oven sets and the grocery side is freaking crazy. The fish and stuff is all in tanks yes they are still swimming, well some of them and you just pick what you want they get it kill it clean it package it and you're on your way. Tried to get Will to try some Sushi but that was a no go smh, he did try some of their pastries. OMG they have a chocolate swirl loaf of bread...sigh I am in heaven.....After the adventure at Lotte Mart we walked out of the store and just started walking. We walked a good 3-4 blocks and then we came up on my new fave restaurant Rice Story, Dunkin Donuts, Levi, Unionbay and a strip of other stores, clubs, bars, restaurants and banks. And I went into their version of the dollar store (Daiso) and they have everything there lol but they have one in the PX so don't have to venture far for one. LG was having a grand opening sale so they had a guy on stilts out and some little funny looking character that looked like Mario lol. Shawny of course was rocking out to the Kpop music with him and dancing lol. They are having a blast here everyone is very friendly and when people say it takes a village to raise a child they must have had Korea in mind. They take care of any and everyones kid lol we were walking through Lotte mart and the cooks at the food court were just playing with the little kids that were with their parents eating. IDK if they get paid extra for it but they love it lol....On post tonight was Trunk or Treat people had volunteered to decorate their cars and pass out candy. This one lady was passing out carrot cake and spice cake on top of candy lol. I ate the carrot cake and man it banged melts right in your mouth. And ha I'm not dead or sick ( you know how yall be about eating food from strangers). With in a matter of 15 minutes (that mikey slept through in his little toad costume) the boys had half of their bags full of candy. Since we finished so quickly we went walking in the other direction of home and hahaha I found a subway. Will of course says no one really eats there but I will have to go check it out, and of course I found a few shopping stores one that sales uggs and juicy couture and another one that sells blankets with the football teams on it. To me it's like a New York City if you've ever been shopping down there with all of the stores lined up same thing just the people are not so damn rude. And Rocawear had its own store here that takes up about half of the block next to the Nike outlet. Smh lol....he really is known all of over and the surrounding cellphone stores and stuff only play his music or beyonce lol. I think the only other music I have heard besides kpop and that's because the park is wired with speakers that play the music is little wayne and that was at the home boy pawn shop lol. Well, the agenda for tomorrow is to go to the PX and set up Jays lunch account, and explore the Ville. We can only go down there during the day because at night the Juicy's (prostitutes) are just falling out of the clubs. They have a man down there that burns portraits into wood, and that's where will and his friends found the man that makes suits lol. We shall see how that goes. Next weekend we are hitting up the rice festival in seoul and the coex mall lol. Pics coming of course.
