Commissary, Trick or Treat and Pizza Experience

Yesterday Will made me venture out by myself to the Commissary and the Px to set up the boys lunch account. So, it's official after shopping at the Commissary I will never shop at another regular grocery store again. Lol the prices are awesome 2 bucks for some ground beef 4 bucks for two steaks the only down side is the damn milk is 4 bucks and that's not even a gallon because they don't sell gallons of milk. It's like .75 or some crap. Thank god for Wic which is available overseas woot woot lol, because without it we would not be buying milk on a reg at all. The whole Lunch account is cool because all Jay has to do is enter a pin number and he can buy food anywhere on the base, not that he will remember a pin number but it's smart. Today HAPPY HALLOWEEN we had a wic appt and then went to the Library on post which has every season movie on dvd, but then again you can go to the ville and get any movie you want for 5 bucks. Jay started school today and he had a blast except for his little melt down about having to ride the bus to school he had a great day. He loved riding it home so he thinks he's to hot for tv now that he can go to school on his own with his friends and I'm not right there lol. Shawny on the other hand has no fascination with going to school anytime soon because in his words he's too small. Jay has also decided that he wants his hair cut because he no longer wants to get it washed but I keep telling him he still needs to wash his hair. Lol he told shawny yesterday that he was going to get his hair like his and lord the look on shawnys face was priceless lmao. He paused and was like huh like mine like no hair at all?? Yea okay lmao and walked away, then he returned like Jay you know once you get it cut it don't come back you want it like mine? lmao trying to make sure he heard him correctly lol. Fine time to want a haircut when we are in Korea and all they know how to do is the military haircut. Today was the trick or treating in Viva Family complex which was awesome, Shout out to those ladies that organized it. They had people at every building passing out candy to the kids and they were dressed in Halloween costumes and had decorated the outside a tad. Even some of the Koreans joined in and passed out candy for the kids. The Koreans by the way love Mario and Luigi lol that was like the best costume every lol. They all wanted photos with the boys one kid made his dad stop the car so he could take a picture with the boys lol. Speaking little to no english he was just laughing saying awesome so awesome mario mario mario lol. So def have to find something to top this years next year. For dinner Will wanted pizza and we all  know how picky I am so I wanted to play it safe and go to burger king lol. He ordered Dominos instead and I haven't had dominos pizza since cleveland public school smh. He got me the supreme pizza and it came with CORN and sweet pickles on the side lol. smh that was just not the combination I was looking for lol. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad but yea my stomach def didn't like corn being thrown all into the mix lol and I haven't even opened the pickles. But Will has a little collection going of pickle containers talking about they are good on sandwiches lol so they will be in the fridge until he opens them. So tomorrow my goal is to go grocery shopping, which ha it's the first of the month and all the wives do the shopping anyway so Will's method of go early when it's less crowded is dead. And he must have forgotten I haven't went grocery shopping without a car in so long I'm like ummm how the hell am I supposed to do this in a Taxi with a toddler Shawny and a stroller. lmao we will figure it out though......

Exploration Day 2

So yesterday me and the  boys ventured out to find this track that everyone kept talking about. We ended up walking at least two to three blocks in the wrong direction at first but found some very cool kids playgrounds. Once we figured to try the other direction we found the pond and that their metroparks which is called "DO Dream" all have workout equipment for the public to use. Ellipticals, arm weights, leg swings, and a few other things. The boys got a chance to try it all since they are really big on the whole exercise now lol. And when Will got off of work I was able to show him a thing or two lol. They had a sand box and tennis court with the kids all out side playing. Their were even older people outside walking their wheelchairs around the track. I met a Korean lady who has a daughter the same age as Mikey, who lives a few buildings away. Yayyyyy my first Korean friend lol...Today HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKEY!!!!!! We set out to find McDonald's lol which was a no go and come to find out if we would have walked in the other direction behind Lotte Mart it was right there. Damnit!!!!! But got a chance to see Lotte Mart and when I say Koreans are all about the kids I mean they are all about the kids. The entire top floor of Lotte Mart which may be a down graded size of Walmart is a kids amusement park. It's like kid heaven up there and when you step off the elevator on the second floor smack dab in the middle is TOY RUS!!!! Might not have to order to many things after all. lol... I found some the coolest portable stove and oven sets and the grocery side is freaking crazy. The fish and stuff is all in tanks yes they are still swimming, well some of them and you just pick what you want they get it kill it clean it package it and you're on your way. Tried to get Will to try some Sushi but that was a no go smh, he did try some of their pastries. OMG they have a chocolate swirl loaf of bread...sigh I am in heaven.....After the adventure at Lotte Mart we walked out of the store and just started walking. We walked a good 3-4 blocks and then we came up on my new fave restaurant Rice Story, Dunkin Donuts, Levi, Unionbay and a strip of other stores, clubs, bars, restaurants and banks. And I went into their version of the dollar store (Daiso) and they have everything there lol but they have one in the PX so don't  have to venture far for one. LG was having a grand opening sale so they had a guy on stilts out and some little funny looking character that looked like Mario lol. Shawny of course was rocking out to the Kpop music with him and dancing lol. They are having a blast here everyone is very friendly and when people say it takes a village to raise a child they must have had Korea in mind. They take care of any and everyones kid lol we were walking through Lotte mart and the cooks at the food court were just playing with the little kids that were with their parents eating. IDK if they get paid extra for it but they love it lol....On post tonight was Trunk or Treat people had volunteered to decorate their cars and pass out candy. This one lady was passing out carrot cake and spice cake on top of candy lol. I ate the carrot cake and man it banged melts right in your mouth. And ha I'm not dead or sick ( you know how yall be about eating food from strangers). With in a matter of 15 minutes (that mikey slept through in his little toad costume) the boys had half of their bags full of candy. Since we finished so quickly we went walking in the other direction of home and hahaha I found a subway. Will of course says no one really eats there but I will have to go check it out, and of course I found a few shopping stores one that sales uggs and juicy couture and another one that sells blankets with the football teams on it. To me it's like a New York City if you've ever been shopping down there with all of the stores lined up same thing just the people are not so damn rude. And Rocawear had its own store here that takes up about half of the block next to the Nike outlet. Smh lol....he really is known all of over and the surrounding cellphone stores and stuff only play his music or beyonce lol. I think the only other music I have heard besides kpop and that's because the park is wired with speakers that play the music is little wayne and that was at the home boy pawn shop lol. Well, the agenda for tomorrow is to go to the PX and set up Jays lunch account, and explore the Ville. We can only go down there during the day because at night the Juicy's  (prostitutes) are just falling out of the clubs. They have a man down there that burns portraits into wood, and that's where will and his friends found the man that makes suits lol. We shall see how that goes. Next weekend we are hitting up the rice festival in seoul and the coex mall lol. Pics coming of course.

Exploration Day

Well today like the past few days has started off super early because Michael and shawny have yet to get use to the time change. So since we were up at 6 am we ate breakfast and decided to venture out on our own after Will went to work. lol...well I found my way home it wasn't that bad the cab ride to the post was like 270 won which is roughly 2 dollars and some change u.s. money. It took 5 minutes if that, and I am assuming these numbers on the lamppost are the speed limit signs (I should check that out since I am getting a Korean drivers license) because the man was doing 70 the whole way. lol Wasn't hard finding a cab either because once you walk out of the building they are just parked there along the side waiting on you to walk up. Once we got on base I signed Jay up for school woot woot he starts Monday and got him registered for his bus pass. We shall see how that goes. He was already questioning why he had to ride a bus to school when we live five minutes away by cab lol smh. And then went to set him up a lunch account which will has calculated to be 2.25 a day times 5 days a week times 4 weeks in a month lol $45 for school lunch lol. He will be carrying some days lol. And the rations card I found out is to monitor the spending on food they say for our family size we should be spending around 1700 a month ( I damn sure must be underfeeding them because I hardly go over $400) but whatever, I don't know anyone with a grocery bill that high except my extreme couponers and that's the before coupon total lol. Oh and since this was my first time leaving the house alone I didn't exactly know how to get back in the house since Will's instructions were so vague. " You know my birthday right well that's how you get in the house" not specifying that if I leave the keypad up you have to press star and that it's only the first 4 numbers not the year included lmao. So, after 2 minutes and Jay saying "oh lord we are locked out forever" I finally got it. Since the playground is right in front of our door I took the boys outside and that lasted all of 20 minutes when Jay saw a bug he didn't recognize and started throwing rocks at it. Will's second Lt. Col. started asking him was I going to participate in the FRG (family readiness group) and for those of you that watch Army Wives know no one wants to deal with the pettiness of the FRG woman. It's a bunch of wives that have entirely to much time on their hands and pick fights. lol but looks like I will be helping with breakfast in the barracks in November smh. Wish me luck....The boys have been passing out at 7 everyday which is no bueno because then they are awake at like 3 in the morning lol and Will has to be up at 5 am for pt so you can only imagine those arguments lol. Shawny is giving him a run for his money and mikey poor mikey is going through granny withdrawal. He tried the screaming and throwing stuff with Will and got absolutely no where all he could do was hang his head and cry. And the boys can't get the hang of the heated floors lol they think the house is on fire lmao. smh had to explain that's where the heat comes from and Jay in response says "that's not normal we should get that looked at" smh...Oh and this using transformers stuff lol the boys think that they are real transformers and are just sleeping while our things are plugged in. Will keeps telling them that they aren't the toys but they help "keep the white man out of his pocket" lmao. Well, until next time here's a few pics from todays adventure. Cannot wait until next week when we go to e-mart and the coex mall.

Welcome to Camp Casey

Well the kids woke up wired for sound around 6am I knew something was wrong because Shawny sleeps until 10 or 11 at the latest on a regular. After searching the refrigerator and cabinets to see what Will bought when he went "grocery" shopping we discovered that like Smokey he didn't have two things that went together. Pancake mix no syrup, pork chops no flour, peanut butter and jelly no bread smh...so off to find a store that was open, because the commissary is of course closed due to what holiday I couldn't even begin to tell you. First stop was the GS25 some little store right by our building. Of course I send will and all the packaging is in Korean so he walks out with nothing lol. We then decide since we have stuff to do on base we will just get the stuff from the PX. I feed the boys cereal Jay eating 3 bowls while Will is yelling "damn boy you cannot be that hungry" and Shawny just drinking all of the milk out of the bowl while Will again yells " you ain't even eat nothing what the hell wasting food" lol. I explain that Javian has a tape worm that's why I don't feed him cereal he can eat 4 bowls before deciding that he is full. And Shawny just likes flavored milk, so I give the uneaten cereal to Mikey (who really will eat anything) and we head out on our way. We of course are walking, which to Jay and Shawny is just unheard of because it's so easy just to get into a parked car that doesn't belong to us so that they don't have to exercise. The walk to Post was 10 minutes if that and an adventure by itself. I don't think I saw one speed limit sign the entire walk, and they treat red lights like stop signs. They were just flying down the street like it was a freeway no cops in sight no red light cameras and hahaha you all know I checked NO POTHOLES I repeat NO POTHOLES lol get it together cleveland. We first go to get me and the kids registered so that my id card will scan when I come on post all of the kids need to have photos taken and a finger scanned well only jay did and he starts freaking out because he thinks that it's a shot. lol  Will has no idea what he's supposed to be doing or where he needs to go and like I said it's a holiday lol so not to many answers either. His instructions were to pic up your wife and get what you need to get done done lol how vague. Well, lucky for him I am a member of every facebook page for South Korea and from picking up random newspapers have read about what I need to do. lol so I point him in the right direction and we get started. Since it takes 2-4 hours to get me fully in the system I have to wait on my rations card, (don't ask I have no clue what that is either) but I need it to go in the px and shop at the commissary. And hahahaha they have a popeyes chicken that's where they recommend getting your turkey from. In my opinion chicken and turkey are not the same but okay we will go with it lol. Burger king, charlies sub, robin hood, baskin robbins are all on base #winning. And they have cool little shops to spend all your money on souvenirs to send home. American post office no international stamps woot woot lol doesn't matter because I don't know how to begin to tell you my Korean address anyway lol and tons of things to stay busy bowling alley movie theater gateway club etc. By the time we walked around got the little stuff that we needed Shawny was not thrilled about having to walk back home. He started to call a taxi lol, but might as well explore before it gets to cold out. There are home boy pawn shops on every corner lol and some type of telecom place every three doors lol. I found a hairdresser and she's black woot woot. Didn't make it to Lotte mart today or E- mart which I am guessing are like our Walmart but I will next week. Me and the boys came home at our pizza and passed out by 4pm lol. Will had to wake us all up at 7 so we wouldn't be up all night and Jay and Shawny were not happy. Oh and I need to  learn Korean because our home monitoring system is all in Korean and me being me pushing buttons and shit lol hit the telecom in the bathroom and the one in the living room started ringing took me 20 minutes to figure out how to shut the damn thing off smh. Jay came yelling someones calling someones calling lol gotta learn the basics asap so heading to the free Korean survival class on thursday to get started.

Until tomorrow guys.
